What We Do

Business Solutions is an approved partner for both MYOB and Quickbooks Financial, Accounting, Payroll and Point of Sale software. We provide software, installation, training and support for MYOB and Quickbooks. Because we are completely independent we can advise you on which product best suits your needs.

We also provide add on solutions for systems including MYOB and Quickbooks allowing you to add features such as Labelling and Barcoding, Stocktaking and Mobile Point of Sale, and EFTPOS integration. Not only do we supply these products we also supply the hardware and consumables and do both installation training and support.

We are also major suppliers and installers of IT hardware specialising in Hardware for Point of sale such as Barcode scanners and printers, portable data terminals, touch screens, docket printers, Bank Note counters and EFTPOS terminals.

Our History

In 2001 Chris and Tony Marshall established an importing and wholesale distribution business specialising in importing Point of Sale hardware, Scanning labelling and POS consumables. This business, Vantex Wholesale Distribution, secured distribution of a number of leading brands of hardware and quickly became one of NZ’s leading IT wholesalers specialising in Point of Sale hardware and peripherals. In 2005 Vantex Wholesale Distribution was sold to Provenco Group ( a listed NZ Company) and through further acquisitions in both Australia and Asia, Vantex has quickly become established as the leading distributor in its field in Australasia.

Business Solutions (BSL) was established in 2005 by Debbie Marshall on her return from Australia.

Debbie has a Commerce degree is a Justice of the Peace, qualified Accountant, Quickbooks Professional Partner and Approved MYOB Partner and MYOB Retail Professsional. She has spent time working for Retail Food Group in Australia managing franchise systems for franchises in Donut King, BB’s Coffee and Brumbys.

Subsequent to the sale of Vantex, Debbie was joined in the business by her brother Chris in June 2006. Chris has degrees in both Law and Commerce and has worked as both a Lawyer and an Accountant.

In May 2007 BSL acquired the business of Mainland Cash Registers from Rick Day. Mainland Cash Registers specialises in ECR (Electronic Cash Registers) and EFTPOS. Rick Day continues to work for BSL. Rick has spent many years working in the Scale, Cash Register and EFTPOS industries having previously worked for Avery in NZ and Australia and for Provenco (Advantage Group). Rick was one of the original pioneers in the EFTPOS industry in NZ.

In June 2007 BSL qualified as a Syncro Eftpos installation partner.

August 2007 Tony Marshall (Chris and Debbie’s father) joins the sales team at BSL. Tony has worked as a Commercial Pilot, established a highly successful Manufacturing Business and along with his son Chris established Vantex a highly successful Point of Sale IT distribution and wholesale business in NZ. Tony is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
